PSAT sign ups

The PSAT will be given on Saturday, October 18, from 7:30-12:00 noon, here at Moanalua. The cost to take the test is $20.00. Juniors who are eligible for free or reduced priced meals may receive a fee waiver. With this waiver, the cost of the test is $3.00. Please bring your eligibility letter with you. We encourage all of you to sign up early! Please see either Ms. Ishida or Mrs. Mizuno in the College and Career Center to make your payment. Please make checks payable to Moanalua High School. - S. 2014 Hawaii College Fair

The Hawaii College Fair will be held on Friday, November 14th at the Blaisdell Exhibition Hall with over 200 colleges participating. Ms. Ishida will be taking up to 40 students on a field trip to attend the college fair. If you are interested in attending, please sign-up in T3. Sign-ups will be on a first come, first served basis and will end on Friday, September 26th or when the 40 spots are filled. There will be a bus fee for each student depending on how many students sign-up.- A. Ishida

Tutoring Program

The tutoring service is back! Tutors can earn service hours for tutoring, and students who need help can benefit from the extra instruction! If you want to be a tutor, or you need extra help from a tutor, come to the library Tutoring Corner and fill out the appropriate form once tutors are available.- S. Pang

Bonfire Material Needed

If you have any really old cotton clothing such as t-shirts, or old towels and sheets, please help make the Homecoming bonfire spectacular by donating these items to the SA Room. Without such materials, the bonfire cannot happen.- S. Pang

Candidate Posters and Flyers

This is just a reminder to all students who are running for some sort of court or office. Your campaign flyers and posters must be taken down within a week of the election, regardless of whether you won or lost. Teachers and staff are being asked to report violations to Mr. Pang which may result in disqualification or a ban on future campaigning for violating the posting rules.- S. Pang

Homecoming Activities

Homecoming Week is September 15-19, 2014! Check out the flyer that should be in every teachers' room for the activities each day! Every morning, there is a dress-up competition, and every lunch period will have a noon-hour activity. Don't forget the Night Pep Rally, Cheer Competition, Banner Competition and Parade as well- S. Japan 2015
Oyaho gozaimasu!! Are you in a Japanese Language class? Do you like Japanese Food? Do you want ride the Bullet Train? Then let's go to the "Land of the Rising Sun!" An adventure to Japan is being planned for July of 2015. We are holding a Recruitment Meeting on Monday, September 22, in room H102 at 6:30pm. If you are interested or want more information, attend our meeting or see Mr. Gudoy in H102. Hayaku! (Hurry!) The deadline to enroll is coming soon. Arigatou Gozaimasu. - E. Gudoy
