March 4 ACT Testing Day
Tuesday March 4th has been designated for school-wide testing.  All students in grades 9-11 will take the ACT, EXPLORE, or PLAN test.  Classes will not be in session and the cafeteria will not provide regular lunch service that day.  If you wish to purchase a brown bagged school lunch, the sign ups will be held during homeroom this week.  More information will be provided by your homeroom teacher.  - S. Senior Project for Class of 2015
Juniors who registered to take the Senior Project class either this summer or next school year should attend a meeting on Tuesday, February 25 during lunch in the library to learn about the course expectations.  If you cannot attend, please see Mrs. Voss in H 303 after the meeting date. - L. Voss

Spring Food Drive
It's that time of year again!  Moanalua has always been generous with food donations, and with the poor economy, even more people will be looking for assistance.  You can do your share by bring canned foods, dry noodles or bags of rice to your homeroom between now and March 6.  Also, monetary donations are accepted.  Every fifty-cents will count as one item.  Remember, you will be helping others less fortunate and, this is also a class competition!  All donations must be brought to the back of the library by the end of CAP on March 6.- S. Spring Production
Its a bird.... Its a plane....Its NERDMAN?!  MoHS Drama presents Its a bird.... Its a plane....Its NERDMAN?! at the Student Center Feb 24-28 @ 3:30pm.  Pre sale tickets will go be sold at the Mene Square during lunch from Feb 19-21 for $5..If not, you can purchase your tickets at the door for $8..Its a fun comedy mystery for all.  Hope to see you there.- M. UH Manoa College of Engineering Summer Internship Program
UH Manoa's College of Engineering will be giving a presentation in the College and Career Center on Monday, February 24th during period 2.  They will share information about their summer internship program for Juniors. Students who are interested in a career in the engineering field should take advantage of this great summer opportunity. Sign up in the College and Career Center as soon as possible.- A. Ishida

Join the canned food drive competition from Jan.30-March 5.  For every 5 cans you donate, your name will get entered into a raffle for one free Junior Prom Bid.  Money donations are also welcome! $.50 = 1 can/point. Each can is 1 service point.  Please drop off your canned goods or monetary donations to your HR/CAP teacher! Lets go sophomores!  - M. Chiu

Shop for Higher Education
It's that time again!  The annual Foodland Shop or Higher Education Program is HERE!  Beginning February 5 through March 18, when you go to any Foodland or Sack 'n' Save, register your Maika'i card under Moanalua High School.  Then, every time you shop at either store, Moanalua will earn points good towards scholarships.  You can start registering NOW!  We usually earn one scholarship, but if Moanalua finishes in the top 20, we earn an additional scholarship.  The higher we place, the more scholarships we earn.  Moanalua usually finishes in 35th or 36th place.  Let's try to finish in the top 20 this year!- S.
