For Moanalua High School, Halloween will take place on Friday, October 31! Three major events will be sponsored by SA. First, at 8:30 a.m., a costume contest will take place through Period 4 classes. The Period 4 with the highest percentage of students dressed out wins a prize! Then, at recess, if you are dressed out, look for any of the SA officers who will give you a treat! Finally, if you are on the first quarter honor roll AND you are legitimately dressed out, you will receive a free ice cream sundae after school at the SA Room Snack Bar while supplies last. Attention all classes and clubs! The Co-Curricular Council Report is due today by 3:00 p.m. to the S.A. Room. Please be sure that the report is either typed or neatly printed. This is just a reminder that CCC Reports are due on the last school day of each month. There are nine CCC Reports for this year. Chartered clubs must submit at least five of those in order to be chartered again next school year.

Great Aloha Run FREE Application
If you are planning to do the Great Aloha Run on Presidents' Day, February 16, 2015, you can now apply FREE! If you are among the first 75 to complete and turn in an application, you can avoid the entry fee. The only requirement is that you are a Moanalua student. Sorry, family members and friends not enrolled at Moanalua are not eligible. Applications are now available in the SA Room. Once 75 students apply, the FREE deal is over, however, you may still apply but must pay the entry fee. Hurry and apply so you can be one of the first 75!- S. Pang

It's that time of year again! Moanalua has always been generous with food donations, and with the poor economy, even more people will be looking for assistance. You can do your share by bring canned foods, dry noodles or bags of rice to your homeroom between now and November 20. Also, monetary donations are accepted. Every fifty-cents will count as one item. Remember, you will be helping others less fortunate and, this is also a class competition! Bring your food donations to the back entrance of the library by the end of CAP on November 20. Pick-up will be right after CAP that day, so you MUST deliver donations before then.- S. Pang

This is an all day event, so students enrolled in World Language classes who have signed up to participate should have signed permission forms and are responsible to see their teachers for any accommodations. Kokutaiji will be performing their famous Yosakoi traditional dance in the gym during lunch, so come on down! Don't miss out on this day of exciting activities and conversation. You can do your share by bring canned foods, dry noodles or bags of rice to your homeroom between now and November 20. Also, monetary donations are accepted. Every fifty-cents will count as one item. Remember, you will be helping others less fortunate and, this is also a class competition! Bring your food donations to the back entrance of the library by the end of CAP on November 20.
