introduced and students earning special awards are presented.  Student back-packs should
be left in Pd. 4 classes.

Computer Lab Closures
The computer labs in the library, tech center and smart lab will be closed before school and during recess on December 16, 17 and 18.  Remember, this is exam week!  Please plan ahead!  However, if you need to use a computer on these days, the computer lab in the library will be open after school from 12:45 pm -3:30 pm.- S. Hawaii-Okinawa Student Exchange Program
The Hawaii United Okinawa Association is looking for host families for the 24th annual student exchange program. The deadline to apply to host a student from Okinawa is December 27, 2013. More information about this fantastic opportunity and downloadable application forms can be found on the Moanalua High World Language Learning Center website:  http://mohsjapanese2.wix.com/mohswllc#!opportunities/c564. The second half of the program is a trip to Okinawa in the summer of 2014. Students who host a visiting Okinawan student have first priority in applying for the summer trip. Open your home, open your world! Host a student! You may also pick up forms and get more information from Mrs. Wong in G-203 or Mr. Pang in the Student Center.- C. Wong

Lost and Found Items
Lost your folder, jacket, shoes, etc?  Check the Administration Office Lost and Found and the office staff will assist you.  At the end of December, any unclaimed property will be donated to charity.- Oshiro

Student Bus Transportation
Quarterly bus pass riders need to make their next payment for students transportation BEFORE FRIDAY, DECEMBER 20, 2013 at the Administrative Office.  Students who fail to make their payment on time may be subject to interrupted bus service and will need to provide their own transportation.
  * REMINDER: All riders must present a valid ID/bus pass each time to ride the bus *

There will be NO bus service on Make-Up Exam Days: Thursday, December 19 and
Friday, December 20

 Bus Fares:  Coupons: $12.50 per sheet (10 coupons on a sheet)

GT testing reminders 
Attention all potential 10th grade English  GT students: This is your reminder that Saturday, 12/7/13 is the official GT testing date.  In order to test, you must have turned in the permission form which was provided by Mrs. Chavez, completely filled out with parent signature.  IF you have not done so yet (or may miss the test date), please see Mrs. Chavez for alternate testing procedures.  Thank you!- C. Register for the SAT
Juniors, this is the year for you to take the SAT, a standardized test used for college admissions! You must register online at sat.org/register. You have until December 27th to register for the Janurary 25th testing date. Juniors should sign up for the January 25th test date for their first attempt at taking the test. Taking the test in January will give you three more test dates in case you'd like to take the test again to improve your scores. You do not want to wait until June to take the test for the first time. There are test prep booklets and resources in the College and Career Center waiting to be used! For more information about registering for the SAT, visit the College and Career Center as soon as possible.- A. Ishida
