Spread The Word
Today @ noon, Pep & NHS will be conducting a Spread the Word to End the Word pledge event in Mene Square.  This is a national campaign which focuses on educating students & adults on the importance of ceasing the use of the R-word (retard or retarded) in everyday conversations.  The R-word is hurtful & demeaning to people w/ intellectual disabilities and their families.  Join us @ lunch to sign the pledge to not use the R-word & receive a nice surprise to show your support for the campaign.  Take the R-word pledge and be a part of a very important social movement.  Your support will make a difference at our school and in the world.  Help us Spread the Word to End the Word!- W. Botelho

Spring Food Drive
It's that time of year again!  Moanalua has always been generous with food donations, and with the poor economy, even more people will be looking for assistance.  You can do your share by bring canned foods, dry noodles or bags of rice to your homeroom between now and March 6.  Also, monetary donations are accepted.  Every fifty-cents will count as one item.  Remember, you will be helping others less fortunate and, this is also a class competition!  All donations must be brought to the back of the library by the end of CAP on March 6.- S.
