Talent Show Applications
Applications for this year's Talent Show are now available in the S.A. Room. Applications are due at a mandatory meeting during lunch recess in the SA Room on Monday, October 13, 2014. Absolutely no late applications will be accepted! If you do not attend this lunch meeting, you will not be allowed to try-out or participate in the show. This year's show is open to soloists, duets or groups no larger than five.- S. Pang

Tutoring Program
The tutoring service is back! Tutors can earn service hours for tutoring, and students who need help can benefit from the extra instruction! If you want to be a tutor, or you need extra help from a tutor, come to the library Tutoring Corner and fill out the appropriate form once tutors are available.- S. Pang

Candidate Posters and Flyers
This is just a reminder to all students who are running for some sort of court or office. Your campaign flyers and posters must be taken down within a week of the election, regardless of whether you won or lost. Teachers and staff are being asked to report violations to Mr. Pang which may result in disqualification or a ban on future campaigning for violating the posting rules.- S. Pang

Sister School Visit
 
They're coming this week Friday! Hiroshima Kokutaiji Sr. High School students and teachers will be on campus for our annual hosting activity on Friday, October 17, 2014. This is an all day event, so students enrolled in World Language classes who have signed up to participate should have signed permission forms and are responsible to see their teachers for any accommodations. Kokutaiji will be performing their famous Yosakoi traditional dance in the gym during lunch, so come on down! Don't miss out on this day of exciting activities and conversation. Teachers with free periods are also welcomed to join us throughout the day to experience this fantastic event. Arigatoo gozaimasu.- C. Wong

Interested in Becoming a Fire Fighter?
Friday, October 17th during Period 6, an instructor and students from the Honolulu Community College Fire Science Program will be here to share information about the program and their experiences trying to become a fire fighter. Japan 2015
Ohayo gozaimasu!! Are you in a Japanese Language class? Do you like Japanese Food? Do you want to ride the Bullet Train? Want to go to Tokyo Disneyland? Then let's go to the "Land of the Rising Sun!" An adventure to Japan is being planned for July of 2015. We are holding a Recruitment Meeting for parents and students on Monday, October 20, in room H102 at 6:30pm. If you are interested or want more information, attend our meeting or see Mr. Gudoy in H102. Hayaku! (Hurry!) The deadline to enroll is coming soon.

Homestay Hosts Needed
 
The World Language Learning Center is looking for 3 host families to receive 3 female students from Hiroshima Kokutaiji Sr. High School for a 3-week visit in January 2015. Visiting students are expected to come to school with hosts daily and participate in daily school life. If you are interested in hosting one of the ambassadors selected by Kokutaiji, please go to see Mrs. Wong in G-203 for an application. Forms will be due to Mrs. Wong in G-203 by 3:25 pm on Wednesday, October 29, 2014- C. Wong
 
Science Club Meeting
